Athens – Sporades – Skiathos 5 days & 5 nights

Trip Summary:

  • From Athens (Lavrio or Agia Marina) to Skiathos (Sporades),
  • Embarkation Day 1 at noon, disembark Day 6 at noon
  • 5 days, 5 nights
  • Distance covered approx.. 260nm (390Km) includes passing through the islands of Skopelos, Alonisos, Kira Panagia. This distance does not include the empty runs return to base

Remarks:

The Sporades is an amazing choice for yachting because of its superb beaches, magnificent villages and a much better weather profile than the Cyclades for July and August. They can be reached through two different paths. One is through Cavo Doro which is closer but very prompt to rough weather and the other is through Halkida which is mostly protected from the seasonal meltemi (Northern wind). Depending on the weather conditions at the time of the trip we will decide which option to follow.

Also, in case of strong meltemi, embarkation could take place from the port of Agia Marina which is relatively close to the airport avoiding the South Evoikos passage which is prompt to bigger waves. The rest of the trip is protected from the weather.
